Where do I start? When it comes to past employment, I usually do not overshare unless it is too much and I have tried to resolve the issue without success. The W.E.B. DuBois Southern Center for Studies in Public Policy invited me to contribute a chapter to a book. My enthusiasm for the task led me to go above and beyond what was expected. When people think of someone like W.E.B. DuBois, who was a first in American history, I am not sure what lens they look through, but I presume with admiration and respect for their accomplishments. There is too much going on for the person who contracted me. The feeling was that there was always a fire being extinguished. To provide you with a sense of what I mean...she works full-time, is an adjunct, mentors, and is completing her dissertation—not to mention family responsibilities. The dissertation alone is a part time job. You’re given the impression that there will be an immediate review of your work. Not so. The person put work, a priority, on hold to conduct dissertation research while I waited for the review, thus the 2-month delay in receiving feedback. —Whatever happened to employers who restricted employees from having a second job while holding a full-time position? You are stalled to get paid despite being promised payment each time they send you a new form to complete. Their legal contract is a joke. They require signature AFTER the work is performed. They claim payment will be delivered in 30 days. However, that’s inaccurate. When it comes to getting paid for services delivered over FOUR MONTHS AGO, Island people time is faster than this. They somehow think this is OK. There is more I can share but I rather not. Because despite all this, the person who contracted me, as an individual, is a doll of a person. But this is business.

Had an awesome time tonight at the game tonight even though the panthers didn't win tonight their band came through with flying colors. 👍 They were rocking the stands tonight, best music entertainment we really enjoyed. If visiting Atlanta you've got to come see the band perform you wont be disappointed. …

Some of the students should have faced some repercussions, especially Tatiyani Fraser. Tried to address the issue, but university looked the other way. Seems like the university let her get away with everything, she was very cruel and disrespectful. I don’t know how she was even allowed to graduate

Clark Atlanta University is where a higher education of achievement is offered in one chosen field and to endure excellence in all things to the end of completion.

Just order the books and teach yourself off of YouTube and save yourself 38 k. They never gave me books during the first year, so I had to pay out of pocket to catch up, and to add insult to injury, now they are refusing to let me walk with my class. You’ll get zero help here Awful advisement Multiple run arounds And emotional distress all for 38k ….. just go to Georgia state.

It's Clark Atlanta University, for goodness sake! HBCU that caters to a smaller student body, which I think really helps with the Graduation rates and ability of the students to feel seen and heard. There are a lot of very empowered young people on this campus. ...and I graduated from UC Berkeley, so I got no chips in that game.

One of the worst HBCU’s I have ever encountered. The work/school life balance is horrible! The staff and administration is so unorganized and unstructured they are extremely focused on being petty, immature, and childish throwing back handed comments rather than focusing on the students who pay their salary! Not only that they often forget that they are teaching grown adults! Nobody never knows what’s going on, you can never get a straight forward answer to simple questions or even help regarding grades, school etc. you have to beg the professors to do their job even to show up to class! Harassment is a huge issue here that is often over looked by administration because it makes them “look bad” they rather sit there and pray for an hour than to actually talk about the real issues at this piece of university Going here will waste you time and money AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This school is an embarrassment to the black community and I’d give this school no stars but I can’t so it gets 1 !

I don't like how the students have to park so far away from thier dorms. The security is not good. My daughter's car got broken in. We have yet to receive a police report. The parking garage should be secured by gates. Our young adults should be more protected.
